Ovulation typically occurs about 14 days before the start of the next menstrual period, but this can vary.
The fertile window is the time in your menstrual cycle when pregnancy is possible. It typically includes the 5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation itself. Sperm can survive in the female reproductive tract for up to 5 days, so intercourse during this window can lead to pregnancy.
